Unity in the Community, the Unity Centre’s charity organsation (Scottish Charity number SCO40466) is pleased to announce that we will be starting free, weekly, English classes for asylum seekers, refugees and any other speakers of other languages who wish to improve their English skills.
Starting on Thursday 3rd September, they will be held in the rooms above our charity shop every Thursday evening from 6pm - 8pm. Childcare will be available. We’ll be using the same rooms as the Govan Integration Network use for their drop-in sessions on Friday afternoons.
You don’t need to book a place or anything - just come along on Thursday 3rd September at 6pm.
The classes will not have a set programme so do not worry if you can not come to the first lesson or that you might miss one or two. The classes are being run by a tutor from Cardonald College with volunteers from the Unity Centre helping.
Unity in the Community’s charity shop is located at 794 Govan Road, GOVAN, G51 2YL and is right next to St Mary’s Church at Govan Cross and is the red shop opposite Govan underground station and Govan bus station
