Please act now to prevent the removal of Samuel who faces imminent removal from the UK!
Our friend Samuel has been in the UK since 2006, and Scotland since 2015. He was active in his community in Glasgow before he was detained 10 months ago. He was part of a coding group here in Glasgow and has many friends who are concerned about him. Samuel has studied here in the UK, and is afraid to be removed to South Africa after these 12 years.
Samuel fears for his life in South Africa due to ongoing violence that has been rife for years, and of which he has been a target. His life would be at risk and his community and home life ripped apart if he was forced to leave the UK, where he has found safety and made a home.
A short call to Virgin Airways, Heathrow and the Home Secretary could make all the difference- a lot of public attention could help stop the removal.
Please follow the instructions below to protest Samuel’s removal. The decision to refuse his removal lies with the pilot and your calls to the airline really can make a difference.
“I have heard that you are enacting Home Office orders to remove a South African national on flight VS601 to Johannesburg. I urge Virgin Atlantic to refuse this removal and encourage the pilot to exert his powers to refuse to fly with him on board.”
