MORTON HALL IMMIGRATION DETAINEE HUNGER STRIKE

Andrew McLean Van-Horn, 46 years old, born in the Cayman Islands but resident in the UK since he was 14 years old, started his hunger strike on Sunday 10th December 2017. His protest is a result of the poor treatment he has received from the Home Office and the Morton Hall IRC prison staff.
His demand is to be removed from the UK immediately.

Andrew states that he is being targeted by Morton Hall staff as he witnessed and challenged them about the medical neglect and lack of care given to fellow detainee Carlinton Spencer who died on October 2nd 2017. His concerns for his well being have intensified since speaking out to the regime about the circumstances of the death of Shazad Aziz Ali on 18th November 2017.

Can concerned people please call Karen Head- Manager at Morton Hall IRC 01522 666700
to let her know we are aware of Andrew’s action and will ensure that his demand is being taken seriously.
